I'm planning on heading to Prince of Wales August 3 - 8th to find the spotted knapweed populations, mark the sites with pink spray paint, gps the sites to sub-meter accuracy, survey for outliers, expansion and nearby populations, and pull the plants. Anyone want to join me? Look for my progress report the week of August 10th. Hope everyone is ready for the field season!
I am also scheduling a trip to Haines to accomplish the same tasks that are listed above. Right now it is tentatively planned for July 16th but this date is dependent on whether or cooperators, the Takshanuk Watershed Council and the SOA foresters are available on that date to assist with locating the sites.
